Android 4.4 with contactless card emulation?

An interesting note about the latest Android 4.4 appeared on one of the blogs:

A virus communicating through a sound card…

Hmm… points 1 and 2 sound somehow familiar. A few years ago, during a training, I described these methods; some people considered them fantasy back then.

DNS tunneling and ICMP tunneling have existed for years. I wonder when we will see data transmission through changes in a computer’s power consumption.

By the way, speakers are not required to generate sound ;-), but perhaps that is a topic for another time…
